About the limitations regarding non-ASCII text

PerlPad crashes when I process Chinese characters

Working with Unicode is supported starting with Perl version 5.8 and CamelBones 0.2.2. Perl 5.8 is included in Mac OS X 10.3.

Thus, this should not be an issue with PerlPad 0.2.1 running on OS X 10.3 or above. If you still have problems, please report them to the mailing list.

If you are using older versions, PerlPad is likely to crash if you enter non-ASCII characters. There is no workaround for this, unfortunately. You will have to upgrade.
